Alsahwa Net- The security department in Wadi Hadhramout has said that it will not allow any suspicious agendas which may lead to riots and instability in Hadhramout.
In a statement, it said that security services in Hadhramout would shoulder responsibility in maintaining security and stability, and put an end to any attempts to spark conflicts and seditions.
It further affirmed that all citizens have the rights to protest peacefully, cautioning against any attempts to damage the state institutions.
Hundreds of Yemenis protesting against Yemen's deteriorating economic situation and weakening currency have blocked major roads and burned tires in some southern cities including Aden and Hadramout.
The Yemeni rial has lost more than half its value against the US dollar since the Houthi rebels conducted a coup against the legitimate government in September 2014.
The government sought to boost liquidity by printing money but the nation’s currency has continued to plunge.
