Security forces seized a shipment of banned manures that was bound for the Houthi rebel militia to use it in making explosives, Al-Mashehad Al-Yemen website learnt from media sources.
The sources said that Aden security forces seized the shipment onboard a trailer laden with bags of rice to disguise the manure, aluminum nitrates that the rebel militia would have used to make explosives.
The chief of Al-Areesh police station Maher Mahmoud said that "700 bags of 50kg capacity were found. The shipment was offloaded in the police station and the trailer's driver was seized and referred for investigations."
The shipment is believed to have been sent by Iran. Last week Taiz police seized two shipments of arms and landmines that was coming from Aden bound for the Houthis.
